History Of Jinks Cottage

Jinks Cottage, situated near the market town of Abergavenny in South Wales is a Welsh Tourist Board 5* rated luxury cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 en-suite bathrooms. Originally built in the 13th century, Jinks Cottage was once home to the village cobbler, named Jinks, his wife and six children. The cottage has been carefully restored to provide a relaxing retreat for up to four guests.

 

Jinks Cottage is a Self Catering Cottage and Features:

  • 2 Bedrooms sleeps 4 (5 with our cot), with 2 single beds downstairs and 1 double bed upstairs. Both bedrooms feature access to well equipped en-suite bathrooms
  • 2 en-suite bathrooms, 1 on the ground floor, with shower, toilet and washbasin. The master bedroom en-suite has a bath designed for two!
  • Oak floored, open plan Lounge with log burning stove and comfortable sofas for relaxing. A modern and stylish dining area is connected to the lounge area.
  • Fully equipped modern open plan kitchen with electric hob and oven, over-hob extraction, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, providing for all your self-catering needs during your stay. However if wish to get away from the cooking duties Abergavenny has many restaurants, pubs and café’s to keep you entertained.

Location and surrounding area

Based near Abergavenny, Jinks Cottage is ideal for trips to this local market town, as well as Crickhowell, and the beautifulWelsh countryside. It is also situated close to our Les Routiers listed village inn, which is within walking distance of the cottage. Les Routiers offers good food, fine wines and real ales. The famous Michelin starred Walnut Tree Inn and The Bell at Skenfrith are also close by.

 

Jinks Cottage is non-smoking and unsuitable for pets.
