Jinks Cottage Abergavenny

Jinks Cottage- Llangattock Lingoed, near Abergavenny, South Wales

Dating from around the 13th century, Llangattock Lingoed is still a proper local village - welcoming and friendly, quiet and unspoilt. Though small, we have a church, an inn and even a post office!

The 13th century Church of St Cadoc is home to rare bats and some even rarer mediaeval wall paintings; our local, The Hunters Moon Inn, also dates from the 13th century but offers completely up-to-date meals, fine wines, real ales and continental lagers in charming and cosy surroundings.

Llangattock Lingoed is on the Offa's Dyke long distance path and there are many other walks through our beautiful countryside. There is also pony trekking, bicycling, canoeing and even paragliding available in the area.

We are only 9 miles from the market town of Abergavenny, offering an ideal base for visiting the local castles and Roman ruins, browsing the book shops in Hay-on-Wye, seeing the industrial heritage of the South Wales Valleys, soaking up the atmosphere of Hereford with its Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi, or enjoying our lively Welsh capital city of Cardiff.
